Step 1: Application of Interest

The journal submits an application of interest to indicate its intention to migrate to Itara Journals. This helps us understand the journal’s background, needs, and migration goals.

Step 2: Review and Agreement

We review the journal’s current setup, publishing history, and migration requirements, followed by a discussion on scope, expectations, and suitability. Once both parties agree to proceed, the migration is formally confirmed.

Step 3: Migration Planning and Onboarding

A migration plan is developed, including timelines, responsibilities, and the materials needed for the process. The journal is then onboarded into the Itara Journals migration workflow.

Step 4: Journal Setup

We prepare the journal’s new environment on Itara Journals, including journal structure, workflows, settings, and any required platform or policy adjustments.

Step 5: Content Migration and Quality Checks

Past issues, articles, metadata, and journal information are migrated into the new environment. We then conduct quality checks to ensure that content, structure, links, and workflows are functioning correctly.

Step 6: Go-Live and Continued Support

Once migration is complete, the journal goes live on Itara Journals. Continued technical and editorial support is then provided to help ensure stability, continuity, and long-term sustainability.

Begin Your Journal Migration

If your journal is ready to move into a stronger scholarly publishing community, we invite you to submit an application of interest and begin your migration to Itara Journals.
