Our mission is to strengthen the visibility of African research by building and supporting credible academic journals that meet strong publishing standards. We are committed to creating platforms where African scholarship can be discovered, trusted, and recognised for its value. In doing so, we seek to advance academic excellence, knowledge sharing, and stronger research visibility across Africa.
This work is important because many institutions face serious challenges in establishing and sustaining academic journals. In many cases, the staff responsible for supporting or managing journals are not given the training needed to handle journal systems, editorial workflows, publishing standards, and ongoing journal operations. At the same time, institutions often do not create enough space to involve their most experienced scholars, such as professors and senior academics, who could play an important role in guiding journal quality, editorial leadership, and long-term scholarly direction.
As a result, some journals are started without the internal capacity, systems, and support needed to sustain them. Challenges such as weak infrastructure, limited technical support, changes in management and leadership, and the absence of properly trained journal support teams can affect continuity and lead to journals becoming inactive over time.
We are addressing these challenges by providing an affordable, reliable, and supportive service that helps institutions and journal founders build, manage, and sustain credible academic journals. Through practical support, continued guidance, and stronger publishing systems, we aim to strengthen long-term journal sustainability while helping institutions build the capacity needed to support visible, credible, and enduring African scholarship.
Partner with us to create a credible, visible, and professionally managed journal that contributes to the growth of African scholarship.
